The Hawarden Historical Society sponsors and maintains several historical sites: Calliope Village, the Hawarden Historical House, the Calliope Store, and the Suckow House. The Historical Society also had a vital role in securing grants and volunteers to restore the Old Hawarden City Hall to preserve it from demolition.
